Someone was telling me about a tree that has soft bark or something and people are known for punching it to relieve stress.

I have done a search but cant find anything out about it.

Does anyone have any information?

cheers

it's still rough though, so you'll find you still get sore knuckles if you don't cover them with something. Another lesson learned of a mis-spent youth!

I think they are a Wellingtonia species.

We have some in a park in Ayr that Treecreepers use to roost in the bark.

Really is good for punching.

Giant redwood is the one, awsome tree:) not the tallest but the bigest by volume (reely fat) iv punched one befor and i gess it would help stress. the barks perpose is to protect it from forest fires. in fact fire is key to their survival, the seeds will not germinate without the heat of the fire to triger them.
