Nut juiceI've not tried it (nor any intention to, I like my milk to mammalian and preferably bovine rather than starchy plant or nut juice pretending!) but I'm told there is a very good powdered oat milk out there. Apparently you can make your own too by grinding oats very finely too

That’s a good idea. I’ve got used to unsweetened soya milk and find the dairy powder ones too sweet. I do often drink tea black but it’s nice to have options when away for a while without a fridge and want cereal.I can't drink milk, and I've always made my own from ground almonds. It's lovely stuff, so much nicer than the exhausted funny sweet stuff in the supermarkets.
Milk is, for many of us, a routine and almost essential part of our diet. Many of us take dried milk out into the field for our drinks (tea and coffee), our breakfast (in porridge), our staples (as a flavouring in bannock). If it weren't for domesticated animals, we wouldn't have it...
...so if you didn't have milk, is there anything in the wild that can replace it?

Powdered? I’m less keen on oat milk but it’s ok on cereal. An oats based product is here freely available, not bad actually. I have no idea if it is exported or not.

Lots more options plant based options since that thread was started. Soya has turned into a nut, from a bean!I can't drink milk, and I've always made my own from ground almonds. It's lovely stuff, so much nicer than the exhausted funny sweet stuff in the supermarkets.

Sorry missed that, looks like at least 3 different powdered products are available.Powdered?
I can try some out but if folk had a recommendation it would save me the bother. I still have some Nido left but it’s tastes very sweet and fatty to me now.Sorry missed that, looks like at least 3 different powdered products are available.
I started out by cutting milk out of my camping menu. I now no longer use milk at all.I’d rather have black tea and coffee than have it taste a bit odd!
