Pine Tar

Need a bit of help finding a supplier or Pine Tar in the U.K., pure or mixed down with Linseed oil /turps. A retialer would be good cos I'm only after a Litre or two.

Anybody know of supplier/retailer cheers.

Ah! pine tar, Stockholm tar, that smell! that lovely smell! she won't let me have it in the house but I'd quite happily use it as aftershave, even though I'd have bits of grass and twigs sticking to me!

Makes a lovely soap - but hell it traces in a second - literally!

Traditional boat supplies have some, 16.50 pounds for a litre. Bottom of the page. Also have tallow if anyone wants some.

Going to mix it down with proper turps and linseed oil to make a wood preservative, something different and hopefully more interesting than "Ronseal five year" etc.

Sounds really interesting. do you have a ratio that you are mixing it to?

I think an equal amount of each might do it.
