Paramo goes green

Given their tendency to change fabrics, no telling how long this will last, but they have gone and made a whole bunch of their garments in differing shades of green. Worth a look if the bright hill walker colours have been putting you off.

I have the Fuera and the Velez smocks and think they are the bees knees.

The Fuera is very lightweight and seems entirely windproof, it will resist a light shower but definately isn't a waterproof.

The Velez has been out in lakeland and subjected to six or so hours of constant rain whilst I have stayed snug and totally dry inside. Neither are especially warm in terms of insulation, you need to layer underneath if its chilly ( the Velez smock is not the Velez adventure- which is apparently very warm.)

Big chest pockets on both with almost limitless space it seems, but I do have one niggle here in that I would prefer a couple of smaller zipped pockets as well.

Go Outdoors occasionally have some good offers on them but I got mine here and saved a few quid..

I've got the Cypress Green Velez adventure smock and it's brilliant (although a slightly interesting shade fo green.....definitely not olive or even close)

If you don't mind blue, the Fuera smock is going cheap ( under £30) at Go Outdoors right now, usually just under £50.
