As soon as I'd finished my [thread=18798]Paracord Bracelet[/thread] I'd decided to write a tutorial on making one. A good thing considering the majority of the responses since I posted it were asking me how to do it! Here goes..

You will need approximately 3 metres of paracord with the ends already sealed/melted, and something to make a temporary knot - a twist tie or piece of string should suffice.

Start by folding the paracord in half, then wrap the loop end around your wrist to get a size. Use the twist tie or string to tie the two pieces of paracord together at the point you measured to create the body of the bracelet, then put the whole lot down on a flat surface with the 'spare' paracord to either side of the body.

Now take the cord to the left, and loop it underneath the body as shown.

Take the cord to the right, pass it through the right-hand loop of the left cord from behind, over the body and through the left-hand loop of the left cord from the front.

Pull the left cord out to right. Loop the "right" cord (currently on the left) over the body as shown.

Pass the "left" cord (currently on the right) through the right-hand loop of the "right" cord from the front, behind the body, then through the left-hand loop of the "right" cord from behind.

Pull the "right" cord out to the right. Both pieces of cord should be back on their correct sides. Pull the whole thing tight, making sure small loops (just big enough for the cord to pass though) are left at the top.

Repeat the process, until you only have a small loop left at the bottom. As you make each complete knot, you may want to push them up the body to get the maximum amount of paracord onto the body.

Pass both of the ends of cord through the loop at the bottom of the body.

Remove your holding knot from the top of the body, and pass an end of cord through each loop.

Find the point where the bracelet is loose enough to get on and off, then tie a double overhand knot as a fastener.

Remove the spare paracord and re-seal/melt the ends, and you're done!

Hmmm, is it supposed to have a twist in it?

Mine ended up looking rather like a strand of DNA (ya know the double helix type o shape)

Funny, and usefull as well (it ended up on my key-chain, and it isn't para-cord i used but cave-line)
