In the Mountains
I poped out for a midweek hike and overnighter this week with a mate of mine .
About a month ago I thought all the snow here was melting and going away however mother nature has given us another big dump of snow in the last two weeks so it was back out with the snow shoes and off to my favourite winter camping spot once again.

Though I share a few photos with ye all :)

Looks grand, I like the pit in the middle of your hang - was it good and warm?

It was more of a cook fire than a keep warm fire, but was nice next to the hammocks like that :)

Great pics salad, looks a lovely spot

How deep was that snow where you dug out the fire pit?

Maybe just over a metre , the snow outside of the trees where there was no shelter was between 1.5 and 1.75 . The photo of me standing on the bridge was done for snow scale. was about 1.5 metres on that bridge
tis a good spot mate only about a 7k walk in with a river next to it for drinking, have been there a few times this winter

I've got 'spot' envy, great pics, thanks for sharing them with us.

Spot envy haha I like that term, will use that in the future myself :)

Another top trip report, they're coming thick and fast this year.

Aye they are ,I love reading the reports in the out an about section :)

What a cracking trip,

Cheers
