I stumbled upon this site quite by accident whilst looking for something else, i never really realised that there were people or places that done this sort of thing ! although, i do watch ray and the others and very much enjoy the programmes, but i have never thought to go out and actually give it a go, the only bushcrafting experience i have is a brazilian with an ex girlfriend! "ahem" but reading some of the threads and seeing what can so easily be made has given me a real enthusiasm to get out there and have a go.
I have done a bit of roughing it, the golden triangle, malaysian jungle and north africa amongst other places but never thought of it as bushcrafting, more like having an amazing time experiencing other cultures and countries and having an adventure to never forget.
I am in the process of looking for places to go and get some nights out under the stars and to start learning as much as possible about all aspects of bushcrafting, got my tarp, hammock and other things on order so who knows maybe next weekend i might be out doing it for real and no doubt, doing it wrong, but i find thats the best way to learn.
