Another great meet! :) thanks to all who attended and hopefully we will see our newest visitors (Greg and Alison) returning. we repaired most of the bridge from the car park to the wood and fitted a new handrail. Generally a very nice relaxed few days with some taking advantage of extra days too! anyway heres a few pics....

Thanks again. We had a great weekend. A great location and a freindly bunch, what more could we want.
We will keep our eyes peeled for the next meet.

Greg & Alison

Super duper pics, lads, it looks a lovely meet, as always :)

Can I ask, is the yew ok? It looks as if its struggling a bit compared to other years, is it that it had a rampant flower last year and just gathering its strength again?

Looks like you guys had a great time. :)

That tree branch vice is awesome! can you tell us more??

Hi Sally :) the big ol' Yew is just fine, i think that particular shot was misleading. if you look at the one where i am working some sticks, its behind me with its deep green foliage sprouting out of my head! :)

Samon its an aluminium Stanley 2 way bench (or branch) mounted corner vice number 702. the working jaws are L shaped so gripping horizontal or vertical, ideal for working up to 3" or so branches. picked it up for a couple of quid at a car boot, not sure if you can still buy them new but if your quick this one will clean up nice. :)

Thanks for sharing guys, it's good to see what a great time you all had, we'll come by for a visit some time goodjob

thanks Tony yes its a great wood with a good following. you can drop by anytime, next one is August 28~30 but extra days are always available. :)
