I'm in Saudi Arabia. I don't have enough holiday time to go to the moot and get married.

Well you should set your priorities lol, seems that the financial crisis has had a similar effect on a few people (not just me then) i tried convincing SWMBO that it would be good for her birthday but she said words to the effect that she's got enough with one bushcrafter lol

Anthropophobia is a good one. Me too!

Plus SWMBO says we've got no money. "We can't afford..." is her favourite way of starting a sentence, except when she wants to go shopping.

I'm trying to summon the courage to think about attending next year.

Work and kids. Summer hols ya know! Plus I had this cunning plan with all the mods being away, to be really naughty. Grahams ruined that plan now.

I was lazy and left my hammock and tarps in Gransfors Sweden.
To be sent back with a load of stuff after blacksmithing out there.
I'm so regretting being lazy now.
There is a slim hope they might turn up tomorrow.

I've got a half a tonne of raspberries to organise the picking of as well as all of the other stuff we're producing at this time of year.

For me, its a long way to travel for a weekend in the woods.

I'd love to meet more of the gang though....

Me too, I'd love to meet more of the gang.

Unfortunately I can't go to the Moot either.

You see, I work on a really cruel farm where they whip you to get you out of the barn before sunrise. First job is to go around the farm kicking the trees to wake the birds up, then we have to take the Chickens a cup of tea and toast after which they slave drive us all day in the fields.

We don't get fed but luckily the kind eastern europeans throw us bread and raw potatoes over the fence. Sometimes they pass us cigarettes through the wire. The horses and ponies in the farm next door pass us polo mints now and again which is a treat we all look forward to.

At the end of the dayshift they whip us back to the barn after sunset. Then they have us making raspberry jam all night until it's time to go out and wake the birds up.

You should see the luxury the chickens get to live in though...

The coup's postponed then?...

he was a good donkey, you don't pull the plough half as fast as he did.

Comparisons now is it?

He had 4 legs - I've got two!

That carrot ye dangled in front of Neddy? Doesn't work for me.

Not only do I hate carrots it knocks my specs off.

Next it'll be "his droppings made better manure".

Well, that's it I've had enough!

I'm off to the Circus to become an Ac-torrrrrrrr.
