non Al volcano kettle

anyone know if you can get a 1l volcano kettle that is not Al.

I know the Thermette is copper but I've heard dodgy reports of quality.

Why not Al? I've had a Kelly Kettle for about 5 - 6years and it has corroded so that it has 2 small leaks in the inner wall (wonder if it can be fixed?), so I though stainless or copper would be more resistant to the effects of wood tar.

I would be interested in one as well. Alloy is dodgy stuff in the body, so I use stainless kit only, no teflon etc, etc.

Al and health links have been dicounted mostly. Al forms a non soluable oxide layer so no Al gets into the food unless you cook very acidic stuff like rhubarb or very alkali stuff

problem wit hte eco-billy is that it is joined to the base and you have to turn it over to full it.
