On the last trip I used this pulk that I overloaded and tended to tip over in deep snow ,

So the hunt began for an other bigger pulk to spread the load a chance phone call to Simon at Wilderness leasure and the one below is now on the way to me :).

Its An ex-RM pulk I think it was a radio or wepion platform looking at the internal mount .

One job will be to replace the cover

I bought a couple of these to use for that ,

Anyone know where I can get some YKK size 12 zips :) ?

There is also crack on the rear that I will need to sort .

The runners look good and theres loads of lashing points fitted .

Im looking forward to getting this one it will be a good project ,,, :D

Update to follow after its in my hands

You're on a roll with projects mate. Look forward to seeing it completed. You could keep the gun mount. Would be useful for putting stragglers out of their misery or encouraging good admin :D

They aren't that heavy...not superlite but not too bad.....without sounding too purdantic... its not a royal Marines pulk...its just a Military standard issue pulk....I was Army..Royal Signals...we used the same ones ;-)
Good project and I'd be very interested to see it completed...good luck Fella

Looking at the thickness of that fibreglass, I'm guessing its a bit on the porky size! By the time you've got that on the plane, you'll have no allowance for contents:)

The Pulk arrived yesterday so the fun can now start :),

First job remove the old cover ,

Well happy to find it was bolted in with stainless bolts with brass wig nuts makes it easy to replace in service I suppose :D.

Then onto the mount what a beast , still don't know what it was for .

It has a level mounted in the frame must be a Radio mast or a weapon?

That's better loads of weight removed ( No need to worry Andy ;) )

Quick wash just to get all the storage dust off it .

Next up will be a repair to the crack and make up a new cover
