hello to every one on the list
i joined last week and thought i would have a poke around the list before i announced my self
my name is john
age 48
bushcraft knowledge
"none" but very interested in becoming knowledgable
am a 4wdver and camper
and live in australia
so far after a week on the list i only have about 4 thousand questions most of them will be
dumb by your standards so please be patient with me
my first question would be about the cotton wool balls and vasaline
do you melt the vas first before you soak it into the ball or do you just scoop it onto the ball before you lite it
thanks toall for responding

Hi John - welcome to the site

Ask away with the questions however dumb you think they might be, we`ve all got to start somewhere.

With the vas and cottonball thing I just smeared it all over without melting it first. Only had a go once but it worked okay.
