This was another go at layered/laminated construction, this time a new home for my Normark/Eka Super Swede;
In bridle leather:
It was a mistake to do the stamping on the lid but, once you start............
I struggled with the stitch holes, using a scratch awl and brute force at the finish. Not the neatest job, but I doubt it'll ever come apart
very snug fit, due to the intermediate layers being cut to fit the knife, a bit like hiding a gun in a book
As I say; not the neatest, but I certainly learned a lot while making it; for example: don't waste top quality bridle leather on experiments!
Anyway, thanks very much for looking and why not have a go yourself?
all the best
Steve
