In 1997 I, and everyone else, had to surrender my target pistol (a Vostok semi-auto .22) but I kept the old pistol case. I spent the surrender money on a Walther CP88 CO2 .177 air pistol; it's fun, but not as much fun as the Vostok.

I have never been satisfied with the cheap plastic case that came with the CP88 and always planned to do something better. So, finally, I've converted the old Vostok case to take the CP88

I've purposefully not over-worked the old case and I've left the outside with all its knocks and scratches; it has character :)

That's a lovely job. If you enjoy pistols, I highly recommend Alan Westlake's work. This is my .357

Funnily enough I picked up a second hand CP88 from someone who bought it after surrendering is pistols as well. Do you have any preferred pellets at all?

I like the case, I picked up an old hand made wooden brief case to do something similar with. Another one of my projects...

What powder do you use? Are you talking 777 or a normal pistol powder? Is it still listed on your cert as black powder?
Normal pistol powder (Herc or Unique). Its a muzzle loading pistol but proofed for nitro (listed as such). Happy to explain more but perhaps a thread in "fair game" or DM me?

I think I've missed something here :( - I'd be very keen to understand more about what is and isn't allowed, what the restrictions are etc. I've obviously lived in ignorance for the last 25 years!

Very nicely done, and as previously said great to have a connection with previous times :)
