So I managed to string it up with some nylon cordage, I'll have to go looking for something else though.
My intention was to go for a real aboriginal bow, using only my knife. I ended up using many tools though.
I didn't use a tillerboard, just my windows. I'm not sure what a longbow tiller is supposed to look like. I kept the thing nice and long so I don't think it will break soon.

I have no way of measuring, but it feels like it's about 50#

Thanks for looking and please tell me what you think:)

Well done my fellow member, that look great, keep us up to date on how the arrows fly!
Are you gonna make your own arrows?

Not bad my friend, not bad.
I should tiller it one time, more throughly as there is still a stiff point in the upperlimb,
but not bad, lets us know how that beauty shoots ^^
I need to get my self around to making one
Yours sincerely, yer fellow dutchy Ruud

Thanks fellows, I will be making it some arrows from dogwood saplings I have drying on the heater.
And Ruud now that you mention it, I do believe the upper limb could do with another scraping.:)

Thats a great nice start nice one :)

On the next one try and get the mid limbs working a little more. The bend seems to be more concentrated around the handle area.

Either way good job ;)
