How?? "Paracord Croakies"
Croakies have been used for ages by the outdoor community, but why pay £10 for a commercial product you can make yourself in 5 mins?
What you'll need !
Your specs, a sharp knife or scissors, a lighter and some paracord.
1st cut a length of paracord roughly as long as the tip of your fingers to your armpit, and remove the inner braids.
Once removed you should be left with the outer "tube" and between 5 and 7 inner strands. The inner strands can be discarded, we don't need these.
With your lighter gently sear the end of the tube just to stop fraying (very lightly)
Now start feeding the arm of your specs or sunglasses into the end of the tube.. This can be difficult and a tight fit. They don't have to go on far, just over the initial "bulge" in the arms.
Friction in the weave of the cord will now keep your croakies on... No more looking for ya specs in the leaf litter !!
FINAL NOTE!! You can use any colour of paracord for this. If you have sunnies etc with very thick arms, 2 small bits of surgical tubing epoxied on each end of the paracord will work too !!
Hope this is of use to someone.. Cheers Mad Dave
