I first made net bags like this to fill with suet to attract woodpeckers. I soon discovered they are handy carriers for anything that doesn't slip through the meshes. I used a 3/4" wide gauge.

Thanks for that. I've got the gist of net making from a course I did last year although I haven't actually used it for anything useful. What else do you use your skills to make?

We made some net needles last year although we have'nt got round to making nets as yet, I watched someone making or repairing nets It looked a fiddly job.
