this bit you mean

Easy, the knife is a stick tang, all you do is keep adding layers until you have about 2-3 mm of the tang left when the pommel/washer is in place, peen it over with a ball peen hammer, that keeps everything in place and nice and tight, even though every single layer is glued as well

Go on give it a go, tis easy - honest
