But we did get to pull over at the side of the road and watch the barn owl (white blob over the road) hunt the dykes and fields. Got within about 10' for a while

If you zoom in real close on the white blob, you can just make out the word "Tesco"!

Sometimes it is better to watch without the camera in front of you. Better luck next time.

We had a good old look and the owl landed on a dyke edge so I hoped for a nice still shot.

Mr Wol wasn't having any of that though

They are suprisingly active before dusk round here - especially over the dykes and field edges

We used to have one that quatered the fields around us, but I've not seen one locally for years now.
