Hmm... I wonder if it would be a good idea to make a steel striker small enough to be on a necklace, maybe the string could go through the fancy curly bits that are on the ends of some of them... That must've been done before...

Well I was thinking a more traditional style steel but I guess if it works, that's the main thing. I think my neck with be taken up with a viking whetstone necklace anyways.
