Hmmmm - not sure that the knife deserves to be in the company of the Cegga axe...the blade is good but the handle could be better.......

I am never satisfied with any work I do!
I guess that is why I always try again, making lots of kit!
Now - thet Cegga - HE gets a good finish......

Actually that is the problem  - I have everything from a 10" mini axe to a 36" double bit working axe. Plus fallers, limbing axes, splitting axes, camp axes cruisers, mauls etc.

Its a weird an eclectic mix from a custom Lee Reeves cruiser helved in fiddle back maple to a really prosaic grp handled maul that I work hard and dirty splitting ash "rounds" to feed my fires. I love axes dearly. There are to date though only a very small number that totally talk to me on a functional level. Rarely are these the expensive ones strangely

I watched the knife take shape, and missed out on the Cegga group buy. Nice kit, Jed and Ogri had them at the last meet loverly finish. Are you sure you need that GB now?

Had a wee bit of snow in Toronto Mungo!!!!! Well I'd call 2ft a bit dunno about you?!?
D

Amazing amounts of snow - I had to take the car out yesterday from downtown Toronto, north to the country north of Newmarket which was a heck of a drive in the storm - hardly anyone on the road, and several of those were in the ditch including a huge snowplow. I have not seen a storm this bad for nearly 20 years... I loved it! I had my emergency supplies all ready in the car (axe too!) in the event that I swerved off the road and got stuck and had to camp for a few days in the snow, making a great shelter and... oh sorry. That was supposed to be a bad possibility. Not a fun possibility... ;-)

Posted a few photos of just a little of the snow today on my blog.

Cheers,

Mungo
