Hi all,
I,m a relative newbie to the forum, but not to bushcraft, as I have been generally
"messing about in the woods" some 40 odd years!!
I have made many sticks and catapults, and as a kid the odd bow & arrow, but have
never tried my hand at wood carving. Anyway having seen other posts on the subject
these are my very first attempts.
The spoon / ladel... is from green birch and the Kuksa type cup is from a sweet
chestnut growth.

Ps, These were carved without the use of any spoon knives, just axe, knives and a small gouge chisel.

Lovely work.It does show what can be achieved with even the most basic kit.
Much better than my own first attempts with axe and pocketknife ; long since
consigned to the firewood bin and thus hidden forever!
Cheers , Simon

Those are lovely :D Nice to see 'domestic utensils' well done :)
I still use pieces my father made fifty years ago, old friends, carefully made, well used and still sound.

Interested to see what else you come up with :D

cheers,
Toddy
