My first 4 soul authorship blades... sort of....

After a long time i have managed to produce some blades.


Well as a colab in a way.

the first ones are 3 stick tangs.

The blades were cut out by PS bond and one by Graham. They were filed to bevel by me HT\s by lf and ps bond, hand rubben and by me to 2500 grit and then polished on a powertool ( shame on me!)

The final edge was held at the same bevel andsharpened by steen nielsen.

Dimensions are 25 deep and 100 long slightly drop pointed. thickness is 4 mm


The second one is a full tang. Plagerised design from narsil with small modification, profiled by ZDP198 filed and hand rubbed by me. ht by steen finish and sharpening as per the stick tangs.

Dimensions are oal 22 cm blade 100 mm x 25 mm thickness 4 mm all blades made in 01 and are scarilly sharp.

If i can make me a filing jig then i'll do the final sharpening edge myself too.

Umm, I've removed the hint at sales. I'm willing to say that Dave’s being a bit enthusiastic as he's (this is to my knowledge) not made his own blades before and it's exciting for him. Is this the case Dave?

I'll leave it here for now but I'll pull it if it turns commercial, especially as Dave is classed as a maker.....

Dreadfully sorry. I never meant to imply a sale.

I have never made my own blades before and the reference to one being gone was something that i never edited out from the thread at BB.

These blades are staying mine mate.
