Sounds like you've lived a very fulfilling life, amazing. I am very interested in one or more books, I did order your 'Discovery walks in Carmarthenshire', I am an avid reader. I'll give you a private message at some point this weekend.

Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope she is ok. I'll give you a message later but do not worry about responding right away, there is no rush.

Project 88
Yeah- OK ...so I am retired and no longer an Iron Age Warrior.... but I may end up doing a bit of volunteering at Castell Henllys ... so I made a new pair of Iron Age trousers ...
Nettle fiber Linen fabric, wool sewing, drawcords and ankle ties ... and if I have to go to hospital at any point I now have some PJs to wear!

Camp boots
These were made as a test for an idea I had ... I used cheap upholstery leather ("Urban Buffalo") from an old sofa, so as not to waste expensive leather ... but it did not mould as well as I hoped. The pattern needs a few tweeks but overall I am happy enough with the boots which will only be worn on soft surfaces as the sole (two layers thick) is not going to be up to hard surface/road/rock use.
The boots were glued and hand sewn with artificial sinew and have a removable veg tan leather insole and closed cell foam tongue padding.
Not the best fit ever - a bit long in the toe, slightly bulky seams but OK as a mock up ... but I doubt I will get around to making a pair in good leather until these have worn out!DSCF0001.JPGDSCF0002.JPGDSCF0003.JPG
