my first propper blade thats to a really good standard.....;)

enjoy the pic's...

pic's are a bit pants...... the liners have gone a bit dull due to low quality resin i used, a lesson for me eh.....:)

over all quite happy though, now on to the next....;)

did you buya blank sheet and cut it out with an angle grinder? then work it and the handle all to shape?

yes mate, O1 4mm by 18 ish inches long, i did want the thumb ramp to be a little bigger but the steel was not quite wide enough, i just drew it on with a marker and set to with the 4 inch angle grinder, bench grinder and sander....

cut the handle roughly to size and brilled the pin holes, made sure it all fit ok glued then got the file on the square shape, sanded down through the grit to 600, and then polished with yellow compound.....

still needs some polishing to get rid of some marks etc and then sharpen.....

quite easy really, just takes some time....;)

thanks all, JD kind of like yours but i do love your Deval Bushcrafter....;)

thanks...

chris.

Yours is a cracking design in it's own right. You have taken some great features and rolled them up together to produce a unique knife there. Looks really comfortable and a great user.
