I recently got a Gransfors Bruks American Felling Axe in a trade :)
The first thing I did was make it a nice new Heavy duty leather sheath as I always think the ones that come with them are a little flimsy.
Then I had the bright idea to do a family picture of all my axes

That's a fantastic collection you've got there, I too have the Kubben and I love it to pieces, probably because its my first and only axe, but I find its great for things that the mora can't quite handle. And I agree with you about the sheaths, I'm waiting for mine to give in and end in injury lol

You rabid axe fetishist you! Lovely collection and nice job on the sheaths. I do so love the Viking style GB axe you have there, Russ.

Hmm, you were holding out on me Russ :D

Nice set of tools though mate. Is the one with the black paint a re profiled and rehandled Argos axe?

Lovely sheaths aswell :)

WOW fantastic collection, thanks for sharing. I recently got my first proper axe, a Small Forest Axe. Love it! Already thinking about getting another one, I quite like the American patterns!

Oh be fair Russ, you are feeling the lack of a nice double bit working axe surely?

Great collection - I know how you feel - been whittling down my collection of late...but its difficult!

Brittish Red Ive had the Gransfors double bit axe but I never seemed right for me :)
I think the American Felling axe ticks all the right boxes for me now :)

Strange that - my Double Bit sees the most work of all mine (keeping the stove fed!). All comes down to taste I guess
