HI,
Anyone else notice that after this summer's disapointing weather there is a marked change in the types of mushrooms?

I've been out in the forest 3 or 4 times now, and I've picked up over a kg of Chanterelles so far, as well as lots of Bay / Birch brown boletus. But absolutley nothing else!

A couple of years ago when it was a really hot summer there were loads of Ceps about but nothing else much.

Not really complaining as I really like chanterelles :)

You have chanterelles, stop whinging you lucky :censored: :D .

Actually this year has even more rubbish than last year and that was pretty bad. Mushrooms rot faster in the warm and wet than any other weather. Last year we were got quite a few orange birch boletes, enough that the supply of dried ones have only just run out. Something will prosper I suppose.
