No mate the standard treebeater was a martindale number 2. This is the current issue knife known as the MOD survival knife that was based on the wilkinson Sword.

I have both the wilkinson sword and the MOD and both in the right hands sharpened / reprofiled and treated correctly are very effective tools, it's just a shame that they are normally used and abused.

that blade was isground slightly differently at the factory (to my specs). It cuts quite well

Sorry bud, but when the patio door starts opening in the wind, i half expected Harry Hill to come out and berate you for wearing slippers! Top job on the knife though, very effective, looks a great deal better as well.
