Silkstone, Blighty!
We definately have stinkhorns on 11  but I'd not noticed when I've pitched on that bit in the past - do you mean one of the areas in the views from the temp communal area or the communal area itself?

I'm sure it is the bit I've stayed on in the past. I could be wrong, but it sure looks like it. Going from the old communal area, go out past where Firecrest stayed last time and continue in that direction. The large holly bush on the right is about where I camped the first time and Captain Chunder redecorated the woodland floor!

looks like a great site! i was having visions of a few muddy fields with the odd copse of trees dotted here and there...... seems i was wrong!

can't wait now, hopefully i can get the thursday off so i can make the whole weekend,

i'd be interested in learning anything bushcrafty, the slow match thing sounds like a good idea. not sure what i could do in return though, the only thing i can do that isnt common knowledge is making flutes.

also i dont yet have a proper bushy knife, the plan beeing to make one myself this summer so if anyone has a few knives they wouldnt mind me having a gander at for some inspiration then that would be great.

cheers all

:lmao: There's a good chance of there being a few examples knocking around at any Meet :lmao: .

Is the swap thing ok - I have some cherished purhases I should like to go to a good home. Also I have a couple of led torches if there's to be a raffle.

There's no problem with sales or swaps at Meets - for ease forum rules apply (expanded to encompass myself and Rough Close)

Also I have a couple of led torches if there's to be a raffle.

Not this time - too often and it becomes more like a ... chore. It tends to be the case that the more often raffles are held the fewer the tickets sold.

Sadly, due to some whacking great bills this month I no longer have the spare cash to cover the fuel and expenses. It's flipping tight this month as it is. I really hope you all have a wonderful weekend and look forward to hearing all the tales. Hopefully next meet I'll be in a better financial situation. I've taken myself off the list:
