Anyone a keen metal detectorer? Just been playing with a drunken ebay purchase and found £1.53 so far...!

Plus a crushed enamel plate 1ft below the surface (thought it might actually be a treasure chest left by pirates 4 miles inland)

Pretty good machine.

I used to know a guy who used an old c-scope, he regularly found loads where people with the latest machines found little or nothing

I have the very same detector! inherited it some years ago from a friend who passed away. The first time I used it I found a pound within 30 seconds Languishing in my shed now and not been used for ages.

Get it on ebay if you're not the sentimental type! Assuming you removed the batteries before storing it that is...!

I've got a basic one (birthday present a few years ago).

Just use it for finding lost arrows on the archery course.

try at Wallasea Island, along from the marina. not show if its still there the remains of a old building by the seawall.

Would do! but have to register with the Queen as it were (coast rights are held by the crown - think you have to pay £50!)
