However as this is my very first attempt at handling a knife blade, I thought I would post a couple of pics for anyone interested.
I opted for an 01 tool steel and bought some nice Elm scales that have a light burring, together with red vulcanised liners, with final finish in satin CCL oil. The end result is not perfect by any means but for a first attempt I am quite pleased with it. It handles and cuts well too
I think I surprised myself at how much I enjoyed shaping and sanding the wood - I found it quite therapeutic! I need to find another project
