I'm new to the forum and am on the lookout for a meet-up site.

I had an initial venue in mind but before i approach the owner i need to know whats required of the site.

Firstly and most importantly its the issue of behavior of the attendees as this could affect securing the site.

Please tell me what your ideas / experience of other meet-up sites

Make sure they know the rules when you advertise your meet.

Everyone is capable of abiding by same.

A few of the threads in the meet up forum have their rules posted.

Much of that is pretty much down to the owner. Things worth considering are numbers (how many are they prepared to accept on site), fires (are they allowed? limited to fire pits etc), wood collection (how do they feel about hordes of beardy axe wielding loonies stripping their site), that sort of thing.

As Barn Owl says, a quick trawl through the events should give a few examples. It may even be worth attending a few before organising your own
