It does, doesn't it :) ....just it's inclined to shred your hands working it.

Have you tried retting it any ? I always wondered if it would give useable fine fibres, but never got around to trying it.

This autumn, I made some cordage with dried day lily leaves.
I do like to experiment.
I found dry bamboo leaves useless, which I would have thought would have made reasonable cordage.
In South America they make rope bridges out of grass ropes. Amazing to see how they do it.

Dry Dead it worked pretty well no Iv never retted it
