That shaping technique is genius! Reckon you could make some nice, tough rawhide pouches that way, might need to give it a go :) Great looking finished product, too - sheath and sgian :D

It's pronounced skean doo. Sgian means knife, dubh means black. The handles used to be made from bog oak or the like. They were the discrete EDC of the Scot, especially after the '45 uprising and the following sumptory proscriptions.
