Nope, they are going in - sixpence, threepence and shillings - all solid silver - I just put them in when I divide the mixture into basins :)
 
That looks lovely Red, Christmas cake and clootie dumpling are two of my favourites. Especially with a slice of sharp cheddar. Nice of you to let us have a wish, so I hope yours come true too. (Wow I'm feeling almost festive).

House smells nice - the small (half pound) puddings are done but the larger (pound) sized ones need another couple of hours of steam yet. Three cakes in the oven at the same time :)

I may get on with the pasties and sausage rolls that are also on the agenda in a minute - that should really get things smelling good :)
 
Well then, now the wish I made yesterday is "locked in" I'll make it public in the hopes that others may make the same wish, though I think many will have.

I wished for a good outcome for our fellow member Stringmaker, who despite having an awful time has managed to post here and keep in touch with us all; I wish him and his family all that they could wish for themselves :)
