Its been a busy 6 months for me, i've made plenty of knives but never actually dedicated one for myself. So now i have.:D

I've just worked through a design phase with a customer and we settled on the second design i did, i liked the 1st design quite a lot so that is what i made.

Usual spec, 3mm 01, 3.5" blade 8" overall,
The handle material is Thuya burr that i've been saving for a while, it has some gorgeous figure and rippling effect to it. It still needs a buff but i'm waiting on a new wheel so it will have to wait. Still got the sheath to make too. lots of pics. :)

That's really lovely, I like the details and the clean lines. Do you have more photos of your grinding set up? I have a belt sander like this, but just can't quite make out how you've adapted it to grind your blades or the angle adjustment. I would appreciate very much if you could show how the knife blank is held against the belt. Also what kind of belts do you use, I'm sorry for the request, but you've inspired me to adapt my sander and have a go!
Cheers
Nigel
