Looking for mushroom gatherers for my MSc research!

Hello everybody!

My name is Anna and I am studying at the Uni. of Kent for a MSc of Ethnobotany.

My final project deals with "Knowledge about fungi in the UK".
I want to assess who knows something about fungi, what they know, and how they learnt what they know. In general, this study will contribute to assess environmental knowledge in industrialized countries.

That's why I am looking for fungi gatherers to answer a questionnaire that I can send by email.

Also, if you live in near Canterbury, I would happy to meet you in person!

You can participate if:
- you have British nationality
- you are over 18 years old
- you have picked any mushroom in the wild at least once in your life

Hello everybody,

My research is still on!

So if you haven't participated yet, I encourage you!

It's very rare that an anthropological study focuses on environmental knowledge in industrialized countries, and even more specifically on fungi.

So it's your chance to tell what you know to (social) Science!

I will send you the results if you are interested.

I still need at least 25 participants until the end of June :yikes:

Just trying to encourage folks to help Anna.
Anyone who has ever done a course involving research knows how stressful it can be when you have a deadline for coursework.
I have taken part and it's quite good fun and a good opportunity to see how much you know without books, internet etc
I had great fun laughing at my attempts to spell the names of mushrooms on the few occasions that i had a good idea of what they were.
