Looking for Leather help required please guys

My leather supplier has just informed me the they are not supplying anymore ! This is giving me a huge problem as i have orders to complete, so i need some help here !

I'm looking for 2mm thick split leather

or

any type of leather thats 2mm thick and very stiff (brown or black if pos. )

I've search everywhere with no luck and i'm getting desperate.....

if the collective googlefu can help......

To stiffen leather I melt beeswax into it (melt the wax, paint it onto warmed leather and then ensure penetration with a blast from a hot air gun..)
I hope that is more useful

you can also try damping the leather with hot water and let it dry, it usually stiffens a lot, but be careful to not to use very hot (boiling or near) water

it seems weird at first but i find it a breeze now. submit your online order form, wait for email, give them a ring, have a wee chat, job done

Dampen the leather then put in the oven on 50 degrees ( lowest temp) for an hour
