Hi folks
sorry if this should be in resources but. Here seamed a better place.

The middle son (will be 11) is looking to blow a bit of his birthday money on small utility seax to finish off a 7th/8th C Saxon costume and be a user for bushcraft type stuff. All the ones we have found on the inter web have been pretty top end ( if very nicely made) and priced accordingly. Does any one know of a source for basic simple small seax, with a sheath, that he can get a few years use out of?

His birthdays in a week and I would like to get it in time if possible

Hi Hamish
35 to 40 is about as far as he will go as he is reserving some money for the traditional plastic carp I don't think he would mind second hand even so long as I could refurb it for him, his helmet is 20 years older than he is!

Cheers for the link, some good stuff there!

Panic over folks, a kind soul has put me onto a chap who does very reasonable hand forged seax blanks i can put a handle on and knock together a sheath for.

Cheers!
