Why is it that when you have free and open access to brand new heavy duty Sandvik hacksaw blades, you don't think ahead to what you could do with them?
25 years worth of supply missed.

Very nice work by the way.

Thats a nice piece of work. When I was younger I worked in a paper mill and a sharp knife was essential for work ( stanley knife was not available then.) The hacksaw blade knife was prized. So my question is how did you manage to put holes through the blade for the rivets?

Hi crowe believe me it wasn't easy there are a couple off ways around this first off all you can reheat the steel to a very high tempretcher then let it cool down in it own time i had a couple of attempts at this but could not get the steel softened enough to be able to drill the holes for pins sandvik steel is extreamly hard.the other way was to cut a slot in the middle off handle i cut mine to the same thickness off pins around 8mm wide then 80mm long i found that works very well the proof is in the knives.i have been to you can by special drills to drill this steel but very expensive to by £30 for six in a set hope this helps Stanley :approve:
