Loch Achray advice and guidance needed plz :)

Hey all,

I am after some advice on loch achray or similar as i am planning a trip for my self and two friends in about 6 weeks. Last year we went to loch lomond late and it was absolutely stunning if not a little bit busy

So this year we are after just a little more quiet and less motor boats if possible There will be 3 of us and the canoe and if possible we would like to move around each day with a nice and easy hammock/basha setup.

Thats it really folks just after people with experience of this loch or one similar who can provide tips on dumping the car, places to camp, things to see etc. We will have 4 days and three nights.

I would reccomend Loch Awe isntead. It's more open and hence hopefully less midges.

I would invest in the guide below as it's a good start point, also get the OS 1;25k map. I will be on loch awe canoe - hammock camping in may so will give you info then.
