As we did a bit of this at the Moot a few years back I thought I would post a few shots I took last night up here for anyone that is interested..

I made good money shooting 6x9 cm color of commercial fireworks displays.
Sorry but that was all analog. I have no images to show you.
I was a carded commercial pyrotechnician (wiring specialist) so I got a front row seat.
I did come to believe as you do that there's a concept, "writing with light," which gets lost
in human vision. BANG! And it took a while to process the residual image in my eyes.
After a while, I think I came to imagine what the "writing" would look like as the pyro exploded.
Your images are such grand experiments.

Experiments is the right description.
My intention is to incorporate some of these effects into some of my landscape work when the opportunity arises.

Some days, I'd wet two stretched sheets of w/c paper and put some electric matches between them.
BANG! and some red sugar residues would mix with the smokes of the ignitions.
All sorts of interesting abstractions. Experimental.
I like the writing made by the (iron?) sparks. Nearly a ballet of forms.

The colourful ones are a multicoloured LED torch with an acrylic rod attached to the end.
The sparky ones are a wad of burning steel wool swinging in a wire basket and the other shot is a flame effect led bulb on a string.
