any flex from the blade the leather will provide a slight ammount of "give" preventing the antler cracking

i would guess chopping, as it's a Leuku...

It's a fair argument that having the flex will actually prevent damage long term. What glue have you used? I would have thought a hard setting epoxy might not cope with the flex so much but you never know.
