Yes I'll get pics up eventually. Having a party today so I'm running around like a headless chicken. lol.

It looks like a very useful tool - it clearly does the job.

do post pics when you finish.

All the best

Right o here we go, an early peek. I'll probably soak it some more but I dont want the burl to darken too much this time. Just a quick wax on - wax off too.
I'll put all the pictures here and pop another up when the sheath is made.

Hope you like.

I'm really pleased I made the tang go all the way though and peened it over.

Im so pleased with this one.

Cheers and hope you enjoyed the thread. :)

Top job as always Paul! Looks great, I really like the peened tang, proper skills...also the fact that you always manage to forrage your supplies(apart from the buffalo horn of course). That was a real fast turn around time as well. Nice work!

i didn't like the idea of the cross cut section in the middle of the handle, thought it would look horrible.
i'm really pleased to say that i was wrong.
that's turned out beautifully mate, well done.

cheers

Thanks for the kind words folks. Glad you like it.
Chad, ive thought about and done very little else apart from this knife (and three more on the side) all week. Today was nice as ive been out chilling in the sun which makes a change. Im going to celebrate by making a huge pie for everyone for tea, and just maybee an ale....or two ;)
Cheers.

Well earned mate, I still think that's giving it some especially when you say there are three more on the go! It was a beautiful day down here too, I did a couple hours work on the house and thought sod it and went for a walk with the famalama. Enjoy the ale, I've just started on one now as well. 8)

Wow, that is excellent.
Keeping the markings in the blade made this thing really unique. The handle is just superb.

I bet a knife like that would fetch a pretty penny, if for sale!

frikkin' awesome almost fell of my chair(literally)
at first i though cans birch bark... nah not that interesting but then i saw the result... WOW
