This is one plant that has many uses, besides the obvious one of being used as a tea.
In this area it grows in great abundance.

Here the plant is flowering

I've tried it but only several times, with the last time being quite a few years ago. It was nicely flavoured, somewhat herbal tasting to my taste buds, but very pleasant.
I only used the full leaves to steep in boiling water with it being very light coloured. It wouldn't turn darker by much regardless of how long it steeped.
I've heard that some people chop the leaves up similar to loose tea. This may make a difference, I don't know.
Also, the only time I've had it was in the summer. It can be used in the winter as well, something I'll definitely have to try some time.

I've just had a chance to try this tea again and was once more pleasantly reminded how nice it really is. The flavour is very good, to my taste buds somewhat jasmine perhaps.

I picked the leaves from several plants, rather than just one to get a good mix

This is the amount picked

I boiled a small amount of water, immediately adding the leaves

After steeping for about 15 minutes, the water is still almost colourless

I drank it as is, nothing added. If you ever get a chance to try it I don't think you'll be disappointed!
