just seen this one. What a super smashing great kuksa. Great carving skills, well done, and thanks for showing. Can you explain in more detail how you do the flame graining?

Hi Chris.
For this burnt effect you'll need something called a gas pencil....

This is the type I use, found it in a market years ago. There are other makes out there.
Fire it up and keep it moving so it scorches the timber.
You could use another source of heat to keep it more 'bushcraft' but to be honest these kuksa take me long enough as it is. I limit myself to three tools. Axe, knife and hook.
