Hi folks,
Recently wanted to try and go out camping more with the old man and he bought me a knife that's hmm, seemingly unfit for general bushcraft type stuff. It's more of a combat knife and it has a really wide body down near the cutting edge, so for fine work it isn't really great at all. It also isn't the easiest to put an edge on either.
I was looking at the Casstrom No 10 Swedish Forest -- It's £70(Though I'd like the sheath that holds a steel as well for another £20), and it seems reasonably priced and the review on here is pretty reassuring as well as far as performance and price goes.
So will that knife see me through? Will it be all I could want it to be? I understand knives and their popularity are going to differ from person to person, but I like the look of it, don't mind the choil etc.
Cheers.
