@ Mr Fenna, John do you have any pictures of the finished knife you made in the review, i would love to see how it turned out.

Read the good mags (the ones I write for!) and you will often find gems of (my) wit and wisdom........
Strange that although the article is my copyright I knew nothing about the review being used on the web......

Gorilla - buy a cheap set of carving knives from your favourite £ shop or woolies - there are some with full tangs - and rehandle them. Makes a nice prezzie for non descriminating cooks as well when you have finished them!

This a good idea the only full tang I have done is a kitchen knife and do not see the need foe another.

Buy it - make it - be pleased with it

It wont be your only knife, it wont be your best knife but you will love it cos you made it & its your first.

The experience will be priceless.

Cheers
Nick

Many thanks for bringing the site to my attention!
They were - no maliciously but due to a misunderstanding - using articles under my copyright without permission.
This has now been resolved to mutual satisfaction.:D
If anyone sees other articles by me on the web give me a heads up coz it ain't licenced!

Ive been toying around with the idea of buying a knife kit as my own blade making skills are not that good.
What are they like?

You do not have to buy a kit you could just buy the parts look on Brisa or the Good suff shop for some great stuff.

Kits like the one listed below are fine the blades are good for the money you can buy one sperate for lees than £10.

Here is knife from a kit with some axtra bit of my own
