HOURS OF WORK: 25 Hours

SALARY PER ANNUM: Band B - £11,639 (pro rata from Full Time amount of £16,760)
DEPARTMENT AND LOCATION: Administration and Support, Wakehurst Place
JOB DETAILS:
Working as part of our Visitor Services Team, you will provide up-to-date information on
all aspects of the gardens at Wakehurst Place, whilst ensuring that levels of security are
maintained within the buildings and grounds. The Rangers service aims to heighten the
enjoyment of visitors and increase the public awareness as to the vital role the gardens
play.
You will have at least three GCSEs or equivalent and be highly accomplished in dealing
with members of the public. You will also have a welcoming and informative manner, be
able to problem solve, make decisions and communicate clearly. A full, clean driving
licence and valid first aid certificate (training provided) are also essential.
The gardens open every day (except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) and you will work
rostered shifts which will include two out of four weekends and some Bank Holidays, to
ensure both security and visitors requirements are met.
