I made my own set with another support that could be used, and mine didn't have a fork end just sharp flat metal and a pot hanger .

Motorbike exhaust paint it's heat proof that may work.

You can't cook chicken on a squirrel cooker it would be wrong.

Wire brush it then warm it up and coat it with wax. And food safe oil for the skewer.

Thanks for the input. The fork has been reheated and quenched in veg oil, and the rest has had a coat of stove paint just because I had some.

For future projects what kind of wax should I use, Bees paraffin or either?
